Business analyst

Business Analyst
·         Demonstrates a clear working knowledge of the Business Analysis responsibilities, concepts and techniques as adapted by the organization.
·         Performs business analysis tasks such as problem solving and new requirements definition tasks per area of focus within Business Analysis as assigned by Manager.
·         Works under limited supervision.
·         Demonstrates clear and working knowledge and concepts of Information Technology.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
·         Performs tasks per area of focus within Business Analysis as assigned by Manager.
·         Demonstrates clear and working knowledge and concepts of Information Technology.
·         Assists with implementation of the particular area of focus within Business Analysis, following strict Project Management Life Cycle / System Development Life Cycle (PMLC/SDLC) processes and guidelines.
·         Raises impediments to daily work accordingly.
·         Responsible for timely achievement of milestones.
·         Effectively gathers and communicates business requirements of projects within the particular area of focus.
·         Act as a product champion for at least one system application.
·         Act as a liaison between all business departments and the Information Services department.
·         Understands the purpose and the basic concepts of Business Process Management (BPM).
·         Demonstrates working knowledge of and business modeling techniques and associated process documentation.
·         Responds to customer inquiries via phone, online, in-person, etc.
·         Creates and maintains process and support documentation.
·         Identifies resources needed for future projects.
·         Collaborates with stakeholders to create project timelines and assign tasks and deliverables.
·         Leads and participates in team/project meetings.
·         Routes more complex requests to appropriate senior staff/management.
·         Provides work direction to junior team members.
·         Provides feedback to performance evaluations for junior team members.
·         A bachelor's degree or higher.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience
A Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree
A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience
Excellent written, analytical, problem solving and verbal communication skills
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
Ability to work in a team environment
Motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and customer-focused
Detail oriented and possess a desire for quality
Experience in working on distributed or remote teams
Understanding of software development life cycles (agile, waterfall, iterative)
