HR Recruiting Coordinator

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for assisting the recruiters and hiring managers with tasks and activities throughout the hiring lifecycle.

This is a hybrid position in Atlanta, GA. The incumbent would expect to be remote 2-3 days per week.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing screening / interviewing logistics, utilizing applicable TA tech stack , initiating and monitoring pre-hire diligence, issue triage and resolution, referral payout processing, etc.
  • Manage Talent Acquisition Recruiting Inbox.
  • Ensures a positive candidate experience at every stage of the hiring process.
  • Assist with key issues that arise during the recruitment process.
  • Drives root cause analysis for issues that arise during the recruitment process.
  • Assist with onboarding and hiring process as needed.
  • Utilize available talent acquisition technologies to manage logistics and scheduling for phone screens, teleconferences, and in-person interviews for all participants.
  • Distributes requisite tools and templates to support the evaluation process.
  • Updates all talent acquisition process and policy documentation as requested.
  • Oversee planning and logistics of recruiting events such as open houses and career fairs.
  • Supports recruiter in creating and sending offers and contracts to the candidate.
  • Initiates and monitors pre-hire diligence, including background checks and drug screens.
  • Works closely with parties outside of talent acquisition to field and resolve questions and issues.
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure plan is in place for a new hire's first day.

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator (TAC) will work closely with a team of recruiters in a fast-paced recruiting organization. The TAC is an integral partner in managing recruiting activities and building candidate relationships; often providing candidates with their first impression of Norfolk Southern! This candidate will be an organizational guru, work effectively with internal and external clients and candidates, possess great communication skills, have the ability to shift gears at a moment’s notice and enjoy the challenges of helping to build a great organization of talented individuals.
