Job Summary:
This position will involve conducting research on the neurobiological aspects of women’s mental health including clinical, endocrinological and related behavioral components, publishing original research in peer reviewed publications, grant writing and progress reports to funding agencies, providing therapy and assessments, engaging in teaching and professional development, supervising and/or training other staff members or students.

Job Responsibilities (Essential Duties):
• Direct and oversee the specialized neurobiological research focused on Women’s Mental Health.
• Use proper scientific methods for publication and participate in scientific symposia.
• Analyze data and information, evaluate and report findings to Senior Research Faculty and other involved research staff.
• Author and coauthor articles for publication and participate in scientific hypotheses development and implementation.
• Develop and maintain research records, grant information, research notes and resource utilization.
• Identify and coordinate working relationships with peers and other appropriate University personnel to achieve defined goals and objectives.
• Monitor project budget and suggest changes as needed.
• Attend meetings and committees related to the research project and represent the department as a liaison with other specialists and investigators nationally and internationally.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
• Plan, assign and review work of staff to ensure that group objectives are met. Hire, train, develop and manage staff to ensure that a qualified staff exists to meet group objectives.

Job Knowledge & Skills, Education, Experience: 
Master’s Degree in Psychological Sciences required; PhD preferred.
A minimum of five years’ experience in clinical psychology required.
Knowledge of analysis software and statistics.
Functional magnetic resonance imaging, database management, operationalizing psychological variables, generating, testing and reporting study hypotheses.
Experience with diagnosis, assessment, and clinical intervention (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy) for psychiatric disorders.
 
Best Candidate:
 Advise on survey methodology for a social science research project. Co-author manuscripts to peer review journals in social science and psychiatry journals. Perform advanced statistical analyses on longitudinal survey data and interpretation of results. Provide support for the administration of the grant as co-investigator.
