Position: .5 Director of Athletics (grades 7-12)/.5 secondary teacher
-or- 1.0 secondary teacher (6-12)
[Note: with other openings, seeking up to two (2.0) secondary teachers]
Location: Pine River Middle School-High School
When: year-round: per teacher contract + 20 days in summer per diem as needed
Reports to: Superintendent/Building Principal
Available/Start Date: July 1, 2022
Qualifications:
· Athletic Director: three (3) years' successful head varsity coaching experience.
o Strong oral and written communication skills.
o Successful background check.
o BBP/Epi-pen/First-Aid/CPR Heartsaver/AED certified.
o Demonstrated ability to lead others.
● Teacher: Four-year degree from an accredited university. Must possess valid Michigan secondary (grades 6-12) teaching certificate in Math, Physical Education, Physical Education & Health, Art, or Science.
● Non-teacher applicants for .5 A.D. will be considered with: five (5) years' successful experience as a head varsity coach, 60+ college credit hours or 2+ years' experience as an athletic director/events coordinator at HS or college.
Preferred:
· A.D./Teacher: M.A. in Education Administration or similar education-related Master’s degree.
- and five (5) years’ successful experience as a head varsity coach
-and five (5) years' successful experience as a secondary teacher and/or Athletic Director
· Teacher: B.S. in Education, three years' successful experience as a secondary teacher, interest in coaching/advising
