Physical Therapist, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, Full-time

Ascension Rehabilitation Hospital in partnership with Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, located in Elk Grove Village IL is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic new grads and experienced physical therapists to join our Inpatient Rehab team where they are valued, encouraged and challenged to continually grow their clinical skills. ·        Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

·        Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.

·        Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other members of the Rehab team. Reviews patients’ functional needs and adjusts care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

·        Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development and incorporates participation of the patient/family.

·        Perform therapy interventions utilizing evidenced base physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.

·        Communicates effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.

·        Oversee activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.

·        Practices hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

·        Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.

·        Bachelor's degree required.

·        Master's degree preferred.

·        Current IL license to practice as a Physical Therapist required.

·        BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

 

·        Inpatient neuro experience strongly preferred
