Integration Scientist 1
A successful candidate will work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment to improve genomic analysis consumable devices that enable leading-edge medical research. This integration scientist will be a key contributor within the Product Test Group working with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate on-going product development activities across Illumina platforms.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to develop a comprehensive testing plan for user needs
- Authorize detailed design validation protocols and supervise test execution according to established product development processes
- Analyze and interpret data from experimentation, document the results and make technical recommendations
- Help to establish best practices for verification & validation in compliance with Illumina quality management systems
- Responsible for delivering design validation plans, protocols, and reports, presenting results for stakeholder meetings and project reviews
- Be both a strong individual contributor as well as a collaborative team member
- Be a critical thinker with strong technical competence and willingness to be hands-on
Skills & Experience
- Graduate degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biomedical engineering, or a related scientific field
- 5+ years of industrial experience in Product Development is preferred.
- A broad scientific knowledge (instrumentation, chemistry, molecular biology, software, etc.) Experience with next generation sequencing technologies and/or data analysis tools is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and successfully work across multiple disciplines such as engineering, software, and customer interaction highly desired
- Experience with customer solutions and tech support highly desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audience
- Experience writing and executing test plans to validate product performance and robustness.

Experience/Education:
- PhD in a scientific or engineering discipline, or equivalent, required
