The National Food Lab (the NFL), a Eurofins company, is America’’s most comprehensive food contract research consultancy, spanning 170 team members and 5 sites. The NFL creates new ideas and product for the food, beverage, dietary supplement, pet food, personal and home care industries on a daily basis. We shepherd products from concept to harvest, offering product formulation, process development and pilot plant services, consumer insights and acceptance testing, sensory science, shelf life assessments and product life cycle and specification management. We are food scientists, culinary artists, chemical engineers, market researchers and statisticians dedicated to delivering safe, effective and most of all fun nutrition to the world.
Job Description
- Perform outreach to prospective clients to increase awareness of our capabilities and develop project leads
- Create and deliver marketing and sales content to support prospective client outreach
- Occasionally travel as needed to NFL sites or trade shows
- Assist with current special projects, lean or quality initiatives, including software system access and processing, administration, tracking of colleague compliance and actions
- Develop, edit and finalize policies, procedures and forms which support technical and quality processes
- Direct involvement in laboratory based studies or projects as business demand dictates
- Successfully train in and successfully execute on safety, quality and environmental health practices while performing their duties

- One or more years of study and current status in a program in food or life sciences, engineering, quality, marketing or business from an accredited US university
Locations: Madison, WI; Plymouth, MN, Lafayette, CO or remote as applicable
Term of Internship: Spring 2022 and/or Summer 2022. Potential for extension or renewal of term based on performance and availability.
