Interns at the Film Festival Coordinators are needed for ground breaking opportunity to transition summer movies in the parking lot to Wyoming Avenue Film Festival experience.

Interning at the Wyoming Avenue Film Fest will be a fun and enriching life experience. There are two main duties: pre-festival and in-festival. 

Pre-fest duties include working with team to organize and promote the festival.

  • Administrative task such as scheduling films, working with the City of Detroit Youth Department to promote awareness.
  • Creating social media posts, articles, blogs, and press releases; integrating social network technologies; distributing posters, schedules and other print materials

In-festival duties include ensuring events run smoothly, orienting moviegoers, providing technical support, facilitating the day to day operations, assisting film set up crews, moderators, vendors and other festival participants.

Although interns do not receive cash compensation participants will receive industry experience.
