Bio-Analytical Scientist

Genesis PharmOptima, a member of Genesis Biotechnology Group (GBG), has an immediate opening for a Bioanalytical Scientist. PharmOptima is a Contract Research Organization with proven expertise in ADME/PK, Bioanalysis, and Biochemistry research services to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. The ideal candidate will be able to provide bioanalytical quantitative analysis of test compounds in biological matrices obtained from a variety of studies including preclinical safety evaluations and clinical studies.
Essential Functions
  • Following and providing input for study Protocols, development and validation of quantitative methodology utilizing analytical techniques, and final interpretation and reporting of data.
  • Particular emphasis will be given to the development of high-capacity-high throughput quantitative LC-MS/MS analytical techniques utilizing validated hardware and software systems. Demonstrated ability to operate independently with experience in the development of rapid HPLC separations and sample extraction techniques to enhance delivery time of analytical data are important.
  • Good laboratory bench skills, attention to detail, personal organization of daily activities and meeting study deadlines.
  • Writing final reports, and communicating progress and project issues to management and Sponsors.
 
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Good written and oral communication, and organizational skills are mandatory.
 
Job Qualifications: General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) required       
  • Experience using laboratory equipment including HPLC-MS/MS, HPLC, and routine equipment used for sample preparation.
  • Knowledge of Analyst, Xcalibur, and Microsoft Office software platforms.
  • Experience with preparation and extraction of samples from biological matrices and formulated drug materials. 
  • Basic knowledge of the principles of pharmacokinetics (PK), toxicokinetics (TK), and associated in vivo study design is required.
  • Knowledgeable in the application of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to provide well-regulated and accurate documentation of analytical results for inclusion into regulatory documents, and to demonstrate this while auditing/reviewing of data from laboratory peers.

  •  Attention to detail regarding safety and accuracy of procedures performed. Lite lifting of up to 20lbs. may be required.

Education and Experience: 
  • Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy or a related discipline, applicable lab bench experience a plus
