ESL Teacher and Tutor (English as a Second Language)
English as a Second Language Teaching and Tutoring - Winter/Spring 2022
We are searching for teachers, substitute teachers, and one-on-one tutors for our adult ESL (English as a second language) program. Our Winter/Spring semester runs from Jan. 25 - April 28. It will be followed by our Summer and then Fall semester with dates to be determined.
Classes are in-person every Tuesday and Thursday in the morning (9:30-11:00am) and evening (6:00-7:30pm). Class sizes are small to promote social distancing, and ensure that students are grouped with those who have similar levels of English.
No previous teaching experience is required, but Spanish language skills may be helpful. Volunteers are provided with some teaching materials and curriculum and they go through a short screening process.
We are looking for reliable, respectful, and patient individuals with the heart to support and grow their students’ English language skills with creativity and thoughtfulness. Great opportunity for future educators or those interested in language education!
All volunteers must complete a background check before beginning classes.
