2022 - 2023 VIDA Medical Clinic VISTA
As a VISTA Member at VIDA Medical Clinic in Appleton, WI you will gain professional experience by working to help VIDA provide high quality comprehensive health care to those in need with a focus on expanding access to healthcare for those without insurance or who are under-insured by: helping to facilitate the full transition to electronic medical records (EMR), developing clinic policies and procedures to help improve workflow, grant-writing/fundraising, helping to achieve WAFCC's Standards of Excellence, continuing to develop VIDA's outreach via social media and more.
The VISTA Member will engage with the Vida Medical Clinic in realizing the overall Vida mission “To Empower Individuals to Make Healthy Life-Affirming Decisions Through Education and Medical Services”. The objectives of this VISTA includes targeting low-income and underinsured patients by: identifying and implementing newer technologies to reach and interact with patients, investigating additional service opportunities through marketing and community outreach, investigating and securing additional funding sources, analyzing quality control measures and monitoring; and improving clinic workflow, explore possible additional medical/education services to meet needs in the community within the scope of our mission. From 2022-2023 in conjunction with Wisconsin's Association of Free and Charitable Clinics whose committed to keeping all free and charitable clinics throughout Wisconsin sustainable and growing.
