Summer 2022 Regulatory Affairs Intern

PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
 
POSITION TITLE:           Regulatory Affairs Intern (Remote)
LOCATION:                      Columbus, OH
 
PURPOSE:
 
Via a rotation program, this position assists with and will receive exposure to the regulatory review, tracking, and approval of new or existing raw materials and products, including cosmetics, home fragrance, and consumer products, for domestic and as well as international markets.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
·        Participate in projects which may emphasize process improvements, new product research, or any other relevant business needs.
 
·        Provide day-to-day regulatory support for the successful development and commercialization of new and existing products.
 
·        Assist with the research of regulatory requirements for new product categories.
 
·        Help to ensure the compliance and traceability of test reports.
 
·        Assist in the design and maintenance of regulatory recordkeeping systems.
 
·        Assist in external monitoring of emerging issues for the US, Canada and European markets.
 
·        Provide technical data support and coordination of regulatory-based documentation to other functions and business units within the enterprise; maintain records and retrieve and disseminate regulatory information as needed.
 
·        Interface effectively with all levels of management within the enterprise, as well as internal and external partners.
 
·        Will conduct an independent project and present the results to a broad audience at the end of the internship: The specific topic will be decided based on interests and availability
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
·        Available for a 10-week internship program - full time, 40 hours per week
·        Pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science or Arts degree. Preferably in Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Political Science, Pre-Law, Communications or related fields; must be 3rd year or above
 
·        superior written and verbal communication skills; time management and organizational skills;
 
·        the ability to multi-task and to be detail-oriented, flexible and a team player, as well as a strong desire to learn;
 
·        strong working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of Microsoft Outlook is a plus;
 
·        excellent analytical skills and demonstrated aptitude with information technology.
