Occupational Therapist for Early On

Division:

West Campus Early Childhood

Position Type:

Full-time, 11-Month 
M-F 8-4pm 

Responsibilities:
Home visiting and group interventions aimed at supported young children within daily routines in the natural contexts
Primary service provider in a transdisciplinary service model
Communication with a variety of internal and external stakeholders for coordination of care
Exhibits strong listening skills
Completes developmental evaluations for young children and develop service plans
Participates in REEDs, METs, IFSPs, IEPs
Adapts to frequent changes in the environment
Qualifications:
 
Master's Degree (OTR)
License in MI
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong emphasis on equity and inclusion in service delivery
Ability to read, analyze and interpret medical reports and assessment data

Embraces and supports KRESA philosophies related to diversity, inclusiveness and anti-racism. Ability to interact effectively with individuals from a wide range of cultures. Ability to discuss cultural differences with colleagues and clients. Ability to assess one's own strengths and limitations or challenges and integrate this understanding into interpersonal interactions.
 
Preferred Skills:
 
Valid driver's license
Thrives in a team environment
Experience in pediatrics preferred
Foundational knowledge in assistive technology
