Spark!Lab Facilitator

The Holland Museum is looking for creative, energetic volunteers to act as facilitators in our Spark!Lab Smithsonian exhibit space. The Spark!Lab is the brainchild of the Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation in the Smithsonian Institution. In this space, children and families can create, collaborate, explore, test, experiment, problem solve and invent. Activities in the space combine traditional science, technology, engineering, and math, with art, history and creativity. Spark!Lab facilitators provide guidance, encouragement, and flexibility for visitors to be able to explore the invention process and their own inventiveness. This is a great opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience working with school age children, community families, or in a Museum/non-profit setting.
