Texas Department of Criminal Justice Summer 2023 Internship

Looking for an internship that serves? The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) – Training and Leader Development Division is currently looking for Summer 2023 interns to assist us with developing our internal ability to create and conduct distance learning training courses. 
The TDCJ operates the second largest prison system in the U.S., next to California. TDCJ employs over 36,000 dedicated individuals working for seventeen divisions spread across the state of Texas. The training and professional development of these individuals rest with TDCJ’s Training and Leader Development Division (TLDD). This includes both pre-service and in-service training for over 25,000 correctional officers, 1,500 parole officers, and 2,900 community supervision officers (probation).
We are seeking interns with a background in distance learning and educational technology who may be interested in gaining industry experience. We have distance education projects in several areas such as Correctional Training, Community Supervision, Parole, and Human Resources. As a division, we are committed to creating a great place for students to thrive by offering opportunities to leverage the power of your degree with real career momentum. We offer web-based training, mentor support, and extensive networking opportunities to help you achieve success.
