Senior Database Administrator - IT Programmer Analyst 12
We are looking for a person who understands database administration and help to support database users. Above all we are looking for someone that is passionate about customer service and being a leader. This position will work with the Enterprise Information Management team for all data management requirements for DTMB.
This individual will be looked upon to provide technical support to other team members and evaluate new database solutions and technologies, provide maintenance, support, and assistance to specialist DBA’s with:
- installation and configuration of clustered database failover
- database replication
- database backup solutions.
The person in this position will plan, coordinate and implement a full range of professional database administration tasks and duties: Database installation, patching and configuration; Database performance monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting; Database backup and recovery; and Data migrations and management.

Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.
Experience
Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12
Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.
