Information Security Summer Intern

Information Security Intern

Your role
The Information Security Intern is responsible for assisting the Information Security Manager with various operational components of the Infosec information security program.

Your responsibilities
  • Review and update documentation for security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
  • Provide assistance as needed to complete external engagements such as SOC-2, Penetration Testing, Risk Assessments, etc
  • Assistance with the deployment and upkeep of the information security department’s Intranet content
  • Provide first level compliance monitoring and investigations for security advisories, reported events or other suspicious activities
  • Assist with internal vulnerability assessments, audits and penetration testing for specific applications, services, networks and infrastructure as needed
  • Assist with applications/tool configuration including, but not limited to firewalls, IDS, SSO and other tools
  • Other duties as assigned

Your qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a concentration in Information Technology and/or Computer Science.
  • Open to working on a part-time basis (20-30 hours/week June-August)
  • Strong writing skills
  • Preference given to students with working knowledge of TCP/IP, Cloud technologies, access management principles, Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, and web design (HTML or WYSIWYG editor)
  • Must uphold, enforce, and abide by all Infosec policies and Code of Conduct
