Digital Content Intern

Digital Content Intern

The Digital Content Intern will learn the Tommy Car Wash Systems/ Tommy’s Express brands and the duties similar to their department co-workers. The Intern will identify, cultivate, manage and track new digital image content for the department to grow the content library as well as identify/correct operational deficiencies in file taxonomy and tagging. The Digital Content Intern will be specifically responsible for the aggregation, sorting and storage of a new wave of photo assets as Tommy’s Express executes a campaign to update all of their site and equipment photos through the summer of 2021. 
 
Essential Responsibilities
  • Communicate with photo contractors to execute their agreements and receive digital photo files 
  • Assure that photo assets are collected from every active Tommy’s Express site nationwide and that they meet the photo standards set forth in the Brand Guide 
  • Some editing/formatting work may be required to meet Tommy’s requirements 
  • Partner with Creative Director to create and execute a tagging and file naming (taxonomy) process that allows Tommy’s personnel to quickly locate and sort photo assets for future use in multiple media and marketing channels 
  • Update existing photo library elements with proper tags and taxonomy 
  • Assist with reviewing and archiving photos in the current library that are outside of current brand spec or have outdated elements 
  • Other duties as it relates to digital content strategy 
  • Assist team in various projects and meeting team objectives, as identified throughout the time of internship. 
  • Take ownership of all projects and duties assigned, as outlined in the Intern Statement of Work.  
  • Participate in team meetings and projects to enhance processes, innovation, drive company KPIs, and learn about the organization. 
 
Required Education and Experience 
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Enrollment in a related college program (marketing, graphic design, photography) 
  • Experience or demonstrated comfort with file up/download, naming, and manipulation in a computer work environment 
  • Excellent people skills 
  • Excellent written communication skills 
  • Excellent telcom communication skills 
  • Experience in networking  
 
Preferred Education and Experience 
  • Previous internship experience 
  • Content Management experience or education 
  • Proven experience with photo editing 
  • Completion of a college-level project management class or prior professional experience 
  • Previous internship or role where file or product taxonomy process was applied/developed 
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 
This position is Temporary. On average the Team Member will work 15 – 25 hours a week.  
 
Work Environment 
This job operates in a professional office setting between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm. A computer and workstation will be provided.
