Nursing Intern

Ascension Borgess is looking to fill Nursing Intern positions on multiple units. This is a great learning opportunity for nursing students! Application must be submitted by January 25th!
 
Flexible schedules.  
 
Must be willing to work weekends or nights
 
Requirement of at least 2 shifts per month.

Must be available to attend a virtual interview. 
 
Must be able to participate in a 3 day orientation, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

What You Will Do

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and taking vital signs.
  • Observe patient status and responses. Document and report observations to preceptor or other appropriate staff.
  • Assist preceptor with development of care plan by reporting test results and patient observations.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Enrolled in Nursing program required.
Preferred: 
  • 6 months of healthcare exprience.  
  • Completion of a med/surg rotation, or junion year.
