Saint Thomas the Apostle School Graphic Design Internship

Saint Thomas the Apostle School is looking for a part-time graphic design intern. This person will be an important addition to our marketing team. We’re looking for a reliable self starter who is ready to contribute, collaborate and bring energy and creativity to the team!

While he/she may work on a variety of jobs, this person will be primarily focused on two major initiatives:

1. Design of a simple identity guideline document (pdf) that will create consistency in brand/look and feel, so Saint Thomas can continue to build brand equity. Includes: vision, mission, purpose, tagline, personality and visual identity (logos, fonts, colors, imagery, iconography). Openness to incremental brand evolution, plus identification of new identity elements as necessary. Content to be provided by the Marketing Committee.

2. Design of a modern website that captures the essence of who we are, plus gives current and prospective families the information they want/need easily. Built on Wordpress, the site design should maintain brand standards (as identified in #1 above). Based on UX best practices, the designer will be responsible for wireframes and design of key pages that will become page templates for the entire site, working within guardrails of the platform. Site map, key page identification and content direction to be provided by the Marketing Committee.

Additionally, this designer may be involved in other projects, depending on skill set and desire, like: newsletter design, social media design/management, photography, video, campaign concepting and development.

While this is an unpaid internship, the work you do here will provide real-world experience, allow you to build your portfolio, and earn you references. This role will begin in January of 2021.
