Revenue Management Internship

The Revenue Management internship is a learning opportunity at Hope Network whose goals include: A hands-on experience to learn the Revenue Cycle Process for Billing within an organization, facility or office. The intern will work closely with leadership to support financial projects, and specific process improvements initiatives within Revenue Management. The intern will have the opportunity to asses and observe managerial actions and objectives and assist and attend internal meetings and external department forums to support Hope Network goals and overall mission. To qualify for this internship, you must be a current/graduate student in a Bachelor/Master degree program.

1.     Post daily, weekly and monthly key metrics for management to easily trends or areas of focus; help director to update action plans that addresses issues.

2.     Assist in weekly compiling of bills and or patient statements in prep for mailing; record totals and amounts for tracking so director can compare to goals and targets.

3.     Attend meetings with leadership; prepare notes or summary of engagement

4.     Assist in department month-end functions, analysis and running reports

5.     Assist in the documentation of departmental status for monthly cash, productivity and AR inventory.

6.     Participates in departmental projects as needed and required, including the development of responses to new programs and services.

7.      Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this internship.

8.      Assist in process reviews to support making process improvement and efficiencies.

9.      Work closely with RM educators to update, edit or create educational materials.

Support director in other projects as assigned.
