Overview
The Bridge: Chicago 2020 is a virtual global entrepreneurship and leadership initiative. Focused on Chicago, open to the world.

Within the context of COVID-19, you will explore economic and social recovery for our communities - everywhere.

Through human-centered design, project-based learning, and a series of micro-internships across various business functions within the private sector, government, and nonprofit organizations.

YOU will prototype strategies for change. This exciting and much-needed plan will provide students:

Spend four-weeks with us to gain business leadership, communication, community organizing and entrepreneurial experience-building immersive “in Chicago, across the state of Illinois, throughout the US and around the world”.

Our focus will be on how we build healthy neighborhoods, communities and cities and revitalize our economies as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact and create upheaval to society and individual and family lives. More specifically, we will examine Mayor Lightfoot’s plan from the COVID-19 Recovery Task Force and compare this to the Global Mayors COVID-19 Recover Plan Task Force.

Our four-week Virtual Internship initiative -- connecting 2020 to 2021-- delivers a custom-tailored and designed experience designed to help you prepare for your chosen career – and life after college/university -- wherever you live.

Details:
  • Start Date: December 18, 2020
  • End Date: January 15th, 2021
  • Optional Service Learning: Global MLK Day of Service - January 18, 2021

Duration: 4 weeks
Time commitment: 8 - 12 hours a week
Live sessions:
  • 3 hours a week primarily between 4 pm - 7 pm CT
  • Sessions will be recorded and offered at additional times with live Q&A
