WIC and BF Peer Supervisor

A full-time WIC and BF Peer Supervisor. This position will be based in Manistee, Mason, Oceana, Newaygo or Mecosta County. 

·       Supervises WIC, Breastfeeding Peer Counselor and related Maternal Child Health program staff in multiple counties.

·       Monitors work of assigned staff to ensure accuracy, productivity, and compliance with program policies and regulations. 

·       Schedules staff in multi-county area insuring adequate service and productivity.

·       Trains and evaluates staff.

·       Participates in program planning, development, monitoring, evaluation, budgeting, quality improvement, and accreditation.

·       Provides direct service as needed.

·       Collaborates and engages with community partners.

·       Provides direct service as needed.

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or Nursing Required. 

·       Registered Dietitian and Master’s Degree preferred. 

·       WIC experience preferred.

·       Advanced lactation certification (IBCLC, CLS, or CLC) or successful completion of certification within 1 year. 

·       Minimum of 2 years of coordination/supervisory experience.

·       Requires strong leadership, communication and critical thinking skills.

·       Ability to mentor, promote teamwork, resolve conflict and coordinate the work of others.

·       Promote, protect, and support breastfeeding. 

·       Reliable transportation.
