Human Resources Assistant II

The Human Resources Assistant II in conjunction with the Executive Director of Human Resources is responsible for the District’s employment process, including but not limited to, pre-screening of employment applications; scheduling interviews; serving on interview teams upon request; processing and recording new hire paperwork; and orientation/onboarding. The Human Resources Assistant II is responsible for providing quality service to all customers, both internal and external. Assists the Executive Director of Human Resources with responsibilities related to the employment of district staff, temporary staff, independent contractors and substitutes in accordance with board policies, administrative guidelines and master agreement language. Maintains the integrity of confidential employee information including, but not limited to demographic data, social security numbers, immigration paperwork, salaries, criminal history records, evaluations, corrective action documentation, and results of pre-employment skills and personality assessments. Provides employment information for the purpose of contract negotiations. Serves as system administrator for a variety of Human Resources applications as assigned. Assists with benefits administration upon request. Provides information to and answers questions for district employees in all areas of Human Resources.

Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Coursework in human resources desirable.

Experience: Minimum three years successful work experience in a business or educational setting required. Human Resources experience in employment or fringe benefits management preferred. Relevant human resources experience will be accepted in lieu of educational requirements.
