Field Equipment Applicator

Field applicator and truck operator                                             Full time employee
 
Farmers Co-op Elevator Company Inc. is seeking a person to operate equipment for the application of fertilizer and crop protection products. This position is also responsible for operating semi-tractor / trailer and straight trucks seasonally.
The applicator will be responsible for operating a Sprayer. The position is also responsible for operating our trucks for grain and material hauling.

Responsibilities and Duties:

·        Application of fertilizer and crop protection products
·        Soil Sampling and Grid sampling
·        Plant operation assistance as needed
·        Compliance with all regulations
·        Safe operation of equipment TerraGator, RoGator, semi-truck, straight truck and pickup with quad ATV (soil sampling)
·        Equipment inspections for maintenance and pre trip
·        Written communication (application reports, delivery receipts, daily logs, etc.)
·        Properly handle fertilizer and chemicals
·        Participate in random DOT blood testing when scheduled
·        Perform necessary maintenance and repair on equipment
·        Other duties, not limited to this list
Abilities:

·        Back ground of equipment operation
·        Farm experience or farm related background
·        Will work as a part of a high performance work team
·        Familiar with laws and regulations governing agricultural applications
·        Has or can obtain a commercial driver’s license
·        Has a working knowledge of application equipment and process
·        Will work with minimum supervision
·        Has or can obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicators license
