I. Brief Overview of Host Organization (Mission and Relevant Programs)
NPH USA supports Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH, Spanish for "Our Little Brothers and Sisters"), which is raising more than 3,000 orphaned, abandoned, and disadvantaged boys and girls in Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Peru. An additional 3,100 children who live outside the homes receive scholarships, meals and healthcare. NPH community outreach programs provide over 100,000 services each year.

II. Intern Position (Focus and Responsibilities)
During the internship the applicant will learn and work directly with the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast (MA-NE) Development team (office in Quincy, MA). This regional team is a small and close knit trio that puts an emphasis on having a fun time while working hard for the children and families that we serve. We believe in collaboration, mutual respect, open communication, and being proactive. The role as the MA-NE Event Intern is to help during all of the aspects of our fall events.

The MA-NE region has two unique events occurring this fall: Virtual Pequeño Tour and Capes and Cocktails Gala. Our Annual Pequeño Tour would typically be a tour of a musical and dance group from one of our nine homes to local parishes and schools. This year we will be offering a virtual alternative featuring a peak at the culture of three of our homes. We will also be hosting our first ever national, virtual Gala on Oct. 17th. The Events intern will aid in many aspects of both events including but not limited to marketing, solicitation, content creation, and stewardship and through this will learn about the inner-workings of events from start to finish.
