*Must hold a BSN degree and a valid Ohio nursing license or be willing to obtain

*Must have effective communication, problem-solving and time management skills

*Must embody high ethical standards/integrity and accept responsibility for personal decisions/conduct

*Maintain a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment

*Demonstrate the ability to access pharmacology information and community health resources appropriate to the needs of students

*Assists sick and injured students

*Administers first aid

*Investigates and documents injuries

*Review medical emergency authorization forms

*Ensures the immunization status of all students complies with state law

*Evaluates visual, hearing, or other student health concerns

*Exemplifies professionalism and fosters goodwill to enhance the district public image

*Respects privacy and maintains the confidentiality of privileged information

*Keeps current with professional standards associated with work duties
