Contracted Student Interns- Clinical Professional Services - (200004SJ)

The Department of Mental Health is seeking to hire a student intern who will support the Clinical and Professional Services Division. The intern will work on Expedited Psychiatric Inpatient Admission (EPIA) Policy, assist with bed searching, work as a liaison between Insurance Carriers, ESPs, EDs and DMH licensed inpatient facilities in an effort to secure beds.
The intern will also be responsible for organizing EPIA referrals, correspondence and data files. They will attend 2 weekly ED Boarding EOHHS calls, EPIA
Regulatory/Stakeholder meetings, and assist with administrative duties and data entry as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • This internship opportunity is for undergraduate student who must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited College or University.
  • Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency.
Additional Information:
  • Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals.
  • All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit.
