Air Program Training Coordinator

The Department of Natural Resources is hiring an Air Program Training Coordinator position in the Division of Environmental Management. This position will be stationed in the DNR Headquarters located at 101 S. Webster Street in the heart of downtown Madison, near the state capitol, the Madison Metro bus route and the Capital City bike path. In addition, there are tons of nearby restaurants and shopping venues.

Position Summary:  
The Training Coordinator develops, designs and presents training to the Air Management Program within the DNR. Duties include assessing training needs, coordinating training, acting as a liaison with universities and other higher learning institutions and ensuring staff in the Air Management program are properly developed in their technical and soft skills. This role is the program’s primary resource in all matters related to training, learning and personal development.

Qualifications:  
Minimally qualified candidates will have experience:
  • Planning, developing, and delivering face to face training
  • Coordinating training sessions (e.g. assisting with planning, goals, agendas, logistics, providing on-site coordination, etc.)
  • Designing and developing training plans, programs and/or resources to meet identified program needs

Well-qualified candidates will have experience:
  • Developing and executing a sustainable, long-range training plan for an organization.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop training needs assessments, course design, development of training materials, etc.
  • Using technology (ex: audio, video, etc.) to deliver training or create materials
