Part-Time IT Help Desk Associate

*20-25 hours per week*

Part-Time IT Help Desk Associate:

About the Part-Time IT Help Desk Associate:
The Help Desk Associate, reporting to the IT Manager, provides first and second level (desk-side) support. Working in an SMB environment, daily tasks include troubleshooting software and hardware issues, as well as on-boarding new employees, re-imaging computers, managing network accounts and access to various software titles. Works with, and escalates advanced issues to, the Network Administrator, and reports directly to the IT Manager. Being part of a small team, the Help Desk Associate is given the opportunity to utilize and broaden their skill set in a variety of areas.

Responsibilities:
·        Provide 1st and 2nd level support for computer hardware, software, peripherals, including network printers, cloud-based VoIP phones, Wi-Fi, and connectivity issues.
·        Utilize the company’s IT ticketing system to record relevant support information, prioritize, escalate when necessary, and document resolution in a timely fashion.
·        Reference and contribute to IT knowledgebase and maintain and adhere to established policies, procedures, and workflows.
·        Re-image computers and maintain IT inventory
·        Configure computers for new employees and perform IT orientation
·        Complete periodically assigned projects, such as annual hardware refreshes
·        Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
·        Ability to communicate professionally and clearly both verbally and in writing
·        Organizational and problem-solving skills
·        Self-motivation with the ability to work with a moderate degree of independence
·        Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
·        Experience installing computer hardware upgrades (RAM, SSD, etc.)
·        Experience with supporting Microsoft Windows
·        Experience with Office 365, Antivirus software, and virus removal
·        No IT experience required
·        Must be pursuing a degree in an IT related field
