Beginning Pay Range: $36,660.00-$40,326.00

About this Opportunity:  

We are seeking a full-time Adoption Specialist. The functions of this opportunity include assessing, preparing, placing and supervising children who are in foster care due to abuse or neglect in adoptive homes. Our specialist will also be responsible for recruiting, screening and assessing adoptive family applicants and matching approved families with waiting children.   

You will know you’re successful in this role when:   
  • You organize, facilitate, and monitor services so that annual adoption objectives are successfully achieved on an annual basis (i.e. placements and finalizations in a timely manner).   
  • You coordinate community resources (i.e. counseling, special education, and DHHS,etc.) available for and needed by adoptive children and families.   
  • You help develop and implement adoption plans so that children obtain permanency in a timely manner.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field. Child welfare experience and/or case management, especially in adoption or foster care preferred. CWTI training is also preferable.
