The Volpe Center is seeking new graduates and entry level professionals to join their team at the GS-7 and/or GS-9 level. These new hires, working alongside project managers and other Volpe colleagues, will employ qualitative and quantitative techniques to tackle a wide range of challenging problems across all modes of transportation. The work that you do can save lives, save time, reduce emissions, promote civil rights, and help the government make every dollar count. You will gain new skills and be able to guide your career along any number of possible paths, from more technical to more managerial. Staff who succeed in this position have improved their leadership abilities, learned to interact with clients effectively, and grown into subject matter experts. The position offers noncompetitive promotion potential up to the GS-12, and potential for competitive promotion to project manager positions at the GS-13 and GS-14.
