Information Technology (IT) Generalist– Data Analytics, Programming, ERP Support
An information technology (IT) analyst who is responsible for some mission-critical reporting and support for ERP system. This position will be part of the IT Team working on reporting and programming projects. Ensuring action is taken to assist departments regarding their ERP systems, reporting processes, automation scripts and some Visual Basic/C# coding.
Position Description:
- Maintain and publish specialized reports. e.g. manufacturer rebates, sales commissions
- Set up new users and issue credentials for various company systems
- Import inventory cost/price updates into ERP system
- Maintain and build automated process scripts in ERP and external automation systems
- Create and modify custom reports - SSRS, Crystal Reports, Power BI
- Document internal processes
- Support existing Visual Basic utilities. Expand functionality.
- Desired Skills:
- Epicor Prophet 21 knowledge
- C# prior experience
- SQL & SSRS knowledge and past experience
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Comfort with Excel macros/Visual Basic scripting
- Able to learn and use reporting tools – Crystal Reports preferred
- Ability to produce accurate quality reports, charts and analysis
- Data Analytics knowledge or ability to learn (PowerBI a plus)
- Able to understand and program in Visual Basic, C# or other languages
- Experience working with API’s
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn EDI concepts, experience with XML and flat files a plus
- Understanding of Wholesale Distribution, a plus
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing
