Our busy Hudsonville location currently has an opportunity for a professional and experienced individual to fill the role of IT Technician who can assist with remote monitoring and maintenance, onsite maintenance when necessary, cloud storage and backup solutions, systems consultation and installation. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join an established organization that has experienced significant growth recently.

Examples of IT Technician Responsibilities
·      Perform technical support, either by phone, remote access or site visits as needed
·      Respond to IT issues; hardware installation and maintenance, installing and upgrading software, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications
·      Ensuring all software is promptly updated and managed
·      Keeping systems up to date through operating systems upgrades
·      Performing preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals
·      Provide helpdesk support for network issues
·      Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, following through to final resolution
·      Monitor web performance, network availability and security
·      Install, test and monitor servers, firewalls and new software; install and update system improvements as needed
·      Assist with servers, LAN/WAN technologies, virus protection and Wi-Fi technology

IT Technician Requirements and Qualifications
·      High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related systems is preferred
·      Previous experience as a help desk technician, computer technician or IT support preferred
·      Knowledge of both Mac and Windows based operating systems
·      Ability to troubleshoot and resolve multiple issues
·      Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and manage time efficiently
·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·      Comfortable in a diverse and fast-paced environment
·      Detail-oriented and an organized team player
·      Experience working with network and server management support
·      Up-to-date knowledge of new systems, information, software and upgrades
·      Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, lift equipment and utilize tools and controls
