Volunteer Research Assistant

Job Description: 

The BAND Lab is hiring volunteer research assistants to work on a clinical trial examining the effects of oxytocin on social functioning in Veterans diagnosed with Schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders. Responsibilities will include contributing to study recruitment efforts, working with electronic data capture tools such as REDCap, assisting with fMRI scans, working with study databases and processing data collected from study visits.

Research assistants will also have the opportunity to lead study visits, have direct interaction with clinical populations, and work directly with psychologists, medical doctors, and other trainees.

Minimum requirements:
1.    Bachelor’s degree, in progress or completed
2.   Availability to commit to at least 2 full days (16 hours) per week for a minimum of 1 year
3.  Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
4.   Interest in clinical research
5.   Readiness to begin volunteering in the BAND lab as soon as possible
