K-12 Education Intern
The K-12 Education Intern will be responsible for revitalizing 20 Liters’ outreach to K-12 classrooms in the West Michigan area. Drawing on past materials and current relationships, the K-12 Education Intern will re-imagine presentations and develop toolkits for K-12 teachers. These presentations and toolkits will help teachers connect existing state curriculum to the global water crisis and mission of 20 Liters, across a variety of subjects.
Tasks and Assignments
· Evaluate past materials and current activities for use by K-12 teachers and students
· Refresh presentations, toolkits, and other materials for use by K-12 teachers and students
· Research to identify priority audiences based on state academic standards and expected lesson plans by subject or grade level
· Additional communication-support activities will be assigned as time allows
Skills and Abilities
· Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
· Analytical thinking and problem solving
· Research and organizational skills
· Advanced understanding of PowerPoint or other presentation software
· Basic computer skills: email, internet browsing, documents, spreadsheets
· Major in Communications, Education, or related field
