Departmental Analyst (Trainee)

This position serves as a Departmental Analyst (Departmental Trainee) 9 for the Student Scholarships and Grants (SSG) division. This position is responsible for data analytics related to the performance of the eight separate award programs administered by the SSG. The employee will query data in the MiSSG system to ensure that program requirements have been met, to analyze year end data and to prepare various reports. This position will also support business operations by analyzing data in the system to inform decisions on which schools need to be targeted by Outreach staff. The employee will also work with the system vendor on SSG business needs. He/she will calculate the data for the monthly scorecard metrics and recommend changes that could assist staff in measuring outcomes. This position will also serve as the divisions' liaison for IT and the Web site.
