CLS and Skill Building Mentor
The mission of IKUS Life Enrichment Services is to provide individuals with disabilities an enriched life experience through recreation, advocacy, and meaningful relationships. This is based on our four core values of compassion, community, accessibility, and sustainability.
We take pride in the fact that we hire staff who have passion for serving others while having our mission and values in mind. Experience isn’t necessary for this position as we can teach any employee who truly has the clients’ best interest in mind.
Mentors empower children and adults with disabilities with the knowledge and skills to reach their goals. Mentors provide services in the community, on our campus, and in the person's home. We teach independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, money management, community integration, and socialization as well as some vocational skills. We help provide some direct care assistance as well.
No experience is needed, but a yearning to help others succeed, compassion, and a passion to serving others is required. We provide in depth training including online, classroom, and hands on training with great mentorship from our managers, lead staff, and experienced staff.
