ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Human Resource Internship will provide a learning environment for an individual with a passion toward human resources. The opportunity will include functions within recruitment, employee culture and talent organization. At the end of the internship three major Human Resource projects will be accomplished.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate Screenings – Will work alongside HR Director to effectively complete phone screenings and recommend next steps in application journey including updating HRIS system with applicable candidate notes and correspondence.
 
Culture Development – Will work to plan two major employee culture events while also actively planning employee wellness initiatives through the BVB Wellness committee.  
 
Payroll & Benefit Administration – This position will have limited exposure to payroll and retirement benefits. Health, dental, vision and disability auditing and updating through systems will be covered.
 
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
·        Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of all business transactions and plans as appropriate
·        Performs research on Job Descriptions to maintain accuracy of job as posted including essential responsibilities.
·        Preparing On-boarding materials as well as executing on-boarding tasks.

·        Ability to interact with and become a trusted resource for employees within the organization.
·        Quickly gain the respect of internal customers and provide a positive interaction with external customers.
·        Ability to resolve project obstacles with oversight, but majority autonomy.
·        Measurable initiative on projects not determined but prove to be beneficial for the culture of B.V.B.

REQUIREMENTS:
·        Associates degree in Business Management or related field.
·        Pursuing Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resource Management.
·        Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and related PC applications.
