Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification): 

  • Undergraduate degree in a social or behavioral science plus 12 months DHS experience
  • or undergraduate degree in a non-related field plus 18 months DHS experience
  • or an associate degree plus 24 months of DHS experience
  • or 36 months DHS experience
Job Duties (Summary):
 

  • Coordinates with HCJFS Education Specialists, Children Services caseworkers workers, by maintaining data related to participation in education services. Generates SACWIS Single-Sign On reports and reviews reports to identify changes in circumstances that require action. Updates SACWIS Person and limited Case Information, based on report findings or direction from Education Specialists Prepares for and imports (through an automated tool) SACWIS Data to Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS), Learning Partner Dashboard (LPD). Generates and distributes LPD Reports. Communicates with CPS staff to request access to system information, and reconciles education data in coordination with HCJFS Education Specialist, between LPD and SACWIS. Schedules, prepares agendas and tracks action items and decisions made for internal JFS and collaborative meetings with partners. Tracks issues and communicates resolution to issues for project teams. Coordinates notification to school districts at the point a child enters custody, provides relevant court documentation and prompts best interest determination as needed. Will track billing for transportation under ESSA.
  • Serves as point of contact at HCJFS for the coordination and communication of information for students participating in Higher Education and Mentoring Initiative (HEMI): Processing and tracking referral information to and from HCJFS to the Education Specialists serving HEMI, reviews intervention data to verify records are complete and timely, generating and distributing reports and coordinating outstanding action items to support timely follow-up activities.  
  • Works on special projects assigned by supervisor. Produces monthly financial reports and other various reports as needed.  
  • Provides staff support for Visitation Room Scheduling. Updates Children Services Phone list for providers. Clears Fax machine daily and distributes information to assigned care managers or case workers accordingly.  
  • Attends necessary approved training as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
