Buyer
 
The primary function of this position is to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery of goods and services to support the Company’s production requirements at all plant locations. These activities include but are not limited to identifying vendors for products, materials, equipment and services. The Buyer ensures vendors are able meet Company requirements in a cost-effective manner within the desired time frame. The Buyer analyzes and negotiates costs.  Throughout the Company, the Buyer interacts with management, operations, maintenance, traffic, engineering, inventory control, sales and accounting in an effort to meet supply goals.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
1.     College degree in Business related field required.
2.     Two years of related manufacturing purchasing experience.
3.     Demonstrates confidence when working with vendors.
4.     Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5.     Upbeat, positive disposition with a desire to multi-task, problem solve and facilitate issues
6.     Demonstrated Project Management skills.
7.     Ability to recognize products or areas which need focus and act upon them.
8.     Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills
9.     Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and demonstrate experience working in a fast-paced environment.
10.  Candidate must have very strong computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Working knowledge of Macola (business application) desired.
11.  Team player who strives to promote harmonious working relationships with Company staff.
12.  Must be able to work safely.
13.  Able to sit at static work location for extended periods plus have exposure to manufacturing setting.
14.  Ability to work in a paperless office
15.  Must be reliable and have proven record of excellent attendance.
