Quality Assurance Coordinator

We are seeking an outstanding individual to fill the role of Quality Assurance Coordinator (QAC). The QAC will work very closely with the Elkmont GP Egg Depot Management team and GP production team. This position will report to the Quality Assurance Data Manager.
The ideal candidate should have the following skills and attributes:
  • Bachelors of Science or equivalent preferred, some college recommended
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables, PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with a variety of personality types in a professional and respectful manner
  • Astute observation, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of egg handling and poultry production preferred
  • Above average math including statistics with emphasis on data assimilation and analysis
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Candidates must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational skills and have a high level of professionalism
Key Responsibilities: The following duties will vary according to the needs of the organization. Normal duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Assist in revising and updating the quality assurance manual and work instructions for the Egg Distribution Center (EDC) and farm audits
  • Maintain strong communication with the EDC management team, and interact and communicate with all levels of EDC personnel
  • Submit weekly and monthly reports to EDC and QA Management in addition to filling out necessary forms and paperwork in a timely manner
  • Perform routine monitoring, tests, sample collection and calibrations as scheduled (including, but not limited to: swabbing for bacterial growth, Salmonella monitoring, and egg specific gravity)
  • Verify that egg quality and categorization are at or above quality standard while supporting GP production team in continuous improvement
  • Recognize problems and opportunities for improvement that may affect quality, and aid in coming up with and implementing solutions (determine appropriate corrective actions and root cause analysis)
