Education Technology Specialist
The Education Technology Specialist promotes the use of technologies to support student achievement in the Department of Corrections (DOC) Education Unit's Minnesota Career Education Center (MCEC) classrooms; the position serves as a liaison between the Education Unit and Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) staff to support technology initiatives. Specific responsibilities include:
- Follow the prescribed implementation framework to analyze, research, and facilitate technology-related purchases for the DOC Education Unit.
- Facilitate the implementation of new education software and hardware.
- Collaborate with Education Unit and MNIT staff to manage and optimize the use of technology in support of quality teaching and learning.
- Maintain Education Unit software and hardware inventory, and monitor contracts and maintenance agreements.
- Manage a practical framework for identifying, planning, delivering, and supporting IT services to the Education Unit.
Travel is required approximately 25% of the time for this position.
The finalist's salary will fall within a range of $47,857 - $70,199 depending on qualifications.
