Commercial Building Plan Reviewer

This position will review construction documents, petitions for variance, and preliminary designs (buildings of 3 stories or less in height and of non-fire resistive construction). The goal of these reviews is to maintain minimum standards of the Wisconsin Administrative Rules and adopted standards for all public buildings and places of employment, including but not limited to; design, construction type, structural capacity, appropriate use of materials, adequate means of egress, sanitary fixtures, natural lighting and ventilation, energy conservation, HVAC systems, and fire safety. This position will communicate with architects, engineers, designers, contractors and building owners. This position will conduct preliminary reviews, consultations, and communicate code applications for the specific project. This position may also perform building/structure investigations to determine compliance with code and approved plans.

At the Senior level this position independently performs routine plan reviews for buildings of 3 stories/floors or less and non-fire resistive classes of construction.
