JOB FUNCTIONS: Coordinates Community Employment Services for the agency. This includes hiring, training, developing and supervising job coaches, ensuring consumers receive the necessary training and accommodations in order to secure employment and ensuring delivery of services as per contract specifications and to the customer’s satisfaction.  Provides support to Director of Community Employment. Promotes the mission, vision and values of MRC through community outreach and other activities.  Schedule varies and includes some evenings and weekends.
 
Essential Duties:
·        Provide leadership and direction to assigned staff. Assign responsibility and exact accountability for results, stimulate creativity, innovation and independent problem solving. 
·        Monitor work crews and job coaches by scheduling regular visits to job site.
·        Ensure coverage at work crew sites.
·        Make recommendations for hire. Provide orientation, training and development to staff for positions under supervision. 
·        Develop and/or assist with updating job descriptions and perform regular staff evaluations. Provide leadership for staff recognition and appreciation processes and activities to promote teamwork.
·        Assist with providing leadership for overall agency activities, special projects, community outreach and networking.
·        Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with all applicable CARF, MDHHS, Medicaid, DOL, OSHA, ADA, and other local, state and federal regulations and MRC policies and procedures.
·        Inform staff about MRC’s overall mission, long-range plan, and goals and objectives.
·        Inform the Director of Community Employment of staff concerns, problems, issues, and failure to obtain results and take corrective action in consultation with the Director of Community Employment and Human Resources as appropriate. 
·        Coordinate with other units in MRC and other agencies that serve MRC consumers, raise issues, advocate, and problem solve to achieve the best possible results for MRC consumers.
·        Act as a consumer advocate, providing leadership to assure consumers are moving toward maximum integration, productivity and independence. Semi-annually coordinate consumer and customer satisfaction surveys.
·        Train and supervise staff to provide community employment services and assist in writing measurable goals and objectives consistent with the Person Centered Planning process.  Train staff on IPOS.
·        Manage resources. Develop and act on budget line items, ensuring that expenses and revenues are accurate. Develop strategies and implement steps to keep budget balanced.
·        Assist with the marketing, bidding and procurement of contracts for Community Employment annually.
·        Maintain, monitor and review enclave contracts and monthly variance reports. Ensure work being performed is in compliance with contract terms and up-to-date.
·        Maintain open communication with current employers and crew sites, ensuring customer satisfaction.
·        Maintain CGE Supply inventory, tracking, ordering, reorganizing for efficiency, maintain open communications with suppliers to ensure accurate product purchase, billing, and invoices.
·        Serve as Federal Building Clearance coordinator for consumers and staff, transport consumers for fingerprinting and badge pick up, uniform coordination
·        Prepare required data reports, including weekly audit. Provide due date reminders and timely delivery of routine reports to staff and Program Director.
·        Respond to denied claims.
·        Collect, input into computer database, and report on assigned data including, but not limited to, consumer demographics, plans of service and program evaluations
·        Maintain list of authorizations for service with expiration dates. Produce regular reports of expiring authorizations or needed units for authorizations. Request additional units for services as needed and file appeals when not received from referral source, in conjunction with other programs. 
·        Maintain employment and clinical caseload as needed.
·        Complete incident and accident reports in a timely fashion and in accordance with agency policy.
·        Ensure the rights of individuals served are protected in accordance with Michigan Mental Health Code and agency policy.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·        Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field plus 2 years related experience in supported employment providing services to individuals with disabilities or combination of four years of equivalent experience and education.
·        One year supervisory experience strongly preferred.
·        Excellent leadership, interpersonal, problem solving, planning and organizational skills. Must have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
·        Oral communication skills sufficient to interact effectively with employers, staff, peers, and consumers with developmental disabilities.
·        Written communications skills sufficient to write contracts, clinical service plans, goals and objectives, and interact with customers and consumers.
·        Knowledge of and experience with the mental health system.
·        Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred.
·        Valid Michigan driver’s license, good driving record required and the availability of licensed, insured, reliable vehicle for use on the job.
·        Criminal records, driving and recipient rights screening required.
 
 
Physical Requirements
·        Must be able to tolerate prolonged standing.
·        Must be able to squat, reach, lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
·        Must have the physical ability to move heavy equipment to and from sites.
·        Ability to perform janitorial and a variety of functions in order to demonstrate/perform job analysis.
·        Physical ability to operate a computer keyboard and general office equipment as needed to perform the essential functions of the job.
·        Physical ability to work in front of and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time.
·        Must be able to drive a motor vehicle in order to meet travel requirements to trainings, community outreach activities and job sites. 
·        Must be able to meet behavioral intervention certification requirements.
·        Must be able to meet CPR and first aid certification requirements.
 
Working Conditions
·        Must be able to tolerate extreme hot, cold, and humid conditions.
·        Travel to off-site employment locations necessary. Working hours frequently involve evening, early morning, weekend hours. 
 
HOURS:                                   Full-time (40 hours per week)
 
PAY RANGE:                           $30,846-$46,259
