Volunteer Patient Floor Concierge

Volunteers Concierges are assigned to a resident/patient floor where they assist nursing in answering call lights, taking care of all non-medical needs. This Improves residents/patient’s quality of life by reducing the wait time for call lights to be answered, reassures resident that their needs are important, lowers resident/patient anxiety about waiting and allows Nurses the freedom to concentrate on medical care.  Great experience for anyone going into to the Health Care field.

Volunteering at Spectrum Health Rehab & Nursing Center is an excellent way to build your skills and knowledge through experience. Working directly with our patients and residents you will gain firsthand knowledge of what it is like to work in an inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility. You will build relationships while learning to work with people from diverse background as well as a variety of disabilities and disease processes. Best of all, you will witness the positive impact you are able to make on the lives of our residents and patients.
