Volunteer -Expressive Arts

The Expressive Art volunteers help create an environment that promotes rehabilitation thorough the creative process. The volunteer helps our clients with self-expression allowing each resident/patient to get in touch with emotions, feelings and desires in a structured art studio setting. You do not have to be an artist to volunteer, just want to work 1:1 with patients/resident and willing to build relationships and offer encouragement.

Volunteering at Spectrum Health Rehab & Nursing Center is an excellent way to build your skills and knowledge through experience. Working directly with our patients and residents you will gain firsthand knowledge of what it is like to work in an inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility. You will build relationships while learning to work with people from diverse background as well as a variety of disabilities and disease processes. Best of all, you will witness the positive impact you are able to make on the lives of our residents and patients.
