Therapeutic Program Worker

***This position is located in Cincinnati, Ohio.***

*Summit Behavioral Healthcare (SBH) offers Therapeutic Program Workers a $0.60 shift differential pay for 2nd and 3rd shift full time, permanent employees.* 
 
The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans.


Under general supervision, a Therapeutic Program Worker (TPW) provides direct care services and assists patients to function independently in self-help and daily living skills.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coaches patients to function independently in self-help & daily living skills (e.g., personal hygiene, feeding, grooming, etiquette, social skills)
  • Institutes appropriate crisis intervention 
  • Completes charting, documentation, records & reports
  • Performs variety of miscellaneous duties (e.g., light housekeeping in patient areas & living quarters; identifies & reports safety concerns; attends & completes required trainings & educational programs; shops for/with patients for clothing &/or personal belongings; provides clerical support).
