Marketing/Development Intern

The Marketing Intern is a part-time unpaid position, reporting to the Development Officer and providing support to the Development Team. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with the design of graphics, event materials, and a variety or other creative tasks as assigned – focusing on digital and email communications. Duties include, but are not limited to:
·        Work with Development Team to refine social media plan and best practices.
·        Assist in managing social media channels and editorial calendar to ensure content is timely, relevant and engaging.
·        Increase Instagram presence.
·        Assist with website updates via Wordpress.
·        Assist with video production (shooting, editing, etc.)
·        Help with collateral updates.

Qualifications
·        Ability to take initiative and manage projects from beginning to end.
·        Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
·        Attention to detail and motivation to learn.
·        Familiarity with key social media tools and Microsoft Office products.
·        Proficient in basic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Must be able to coordinate several tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.

Hours & Compensation
·        A flexible schedule is offered between the work hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
·        10-12 hours weekly
·        This is an unpaid position; however, a $500 stipend is provided.
