Social Media Intern
Ada Bible Church is hiring a Social Media Intern to join the Communications team. The internship offers an opportunity to work alongside our Social Media Coordinator and Communications Director to learn from them as you develop skills and strategies for engaging an online audience via social media while promoting an organization’s social media presence. You will be able to apply concepts you’ve learned in your coursework to a real-word professional setting and contribute fresh insights and ideas to the work of Ada Bible Church’s Communications team.
The internship is available for up to 15 hours per week for Fall 2019.
What you will do:
- Develop strategies to engage Ada Bible Church’s online audience through the use of social media
- Measure social media engagement by tracking analytics and reporting on key performance indicators
- Work with Social Media Coordinator to plan and schedule a calendar of Facebook and Instagram posts
- Draft social media posts for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Work with Communications team to ensure social media content is consistent with Ada Bible Church brand
- Attend weekend services and other Ada Bible Church events to take photos and capture stories to share via social media
Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about social media communications and equally as excited about using social media as a tool to help point people to God and encourage them in their faith.
To be considered for this internship, applicants must be juniors or seniors enrolled in a college degree-granting program in social media, communications, or related field of study.
Beyond this, we’re looking for applicants who are:
- Relationally-oriented with plenty of interpersonal savvy
- Skilled in photography
- Skilled writers with ability to create engaging content
- Solid communicators, both verbally and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook
